Mushroom Plug Spawn Workshop

This workshop will include the new plug spawn kit that will make around 5-6 logs.  The kit includes the drill bit, stop collar, paste wax and 250 inoculated wood dowels.  You may chose either Shiitake or Gray Oyster kits prior to the workshop date.  We will make one log during the workshop for you to take home.  You will also have about 200 plug spawn remaining in the kit to make additional logs.

This event will be outside and will depend upon weather conditions.  Please be flexible on this day if we need to push out the timeframe to a later time to avoid any rain.

- Make either a shiitake or oyster log during the workshop

- Go over how to select, harvest and store logs 

- Go over how to use the plug spawn kit and how to store logs 

- Log storage and future harvestings
